One-time Mr. Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese, recently uploaded a video online in which he berated controversial broadcaster, Freeze, telling him to stop misleading people about the issue of paying tithes to church. According to the model, a lot of people were tired of Freeze’s ‘rants’ on social media.
Even though Freeze hasn’t responded, Sunday Scoop sought to find out if the duo had any prior relationship. Ikubese said, “I have never met Freeze and I honestly don’t want to talk about him please.”
Baring his mind on tithes, the former Mr. Nigeria said, “I believe in tithing. However, no one is forced to pay tithe. It’s all based on what you believe. God is love and we should all show love to one another.”
Speaking on what he is working on at the moment, he said, I’m in the US at the moment shooting a TV series with Nse Ikpe-Etim and Ayoola of Project Fame. I am usually interested in projects when I consider the storyline, the actors involved in the project; and of course, the pay.”
On the challenges he faced when he started acting, he said, “The challenges I had were producers or directors not trusting you with a major role or a challenging role. I was boxed into a corner and really wanted to take on more challenging roles. But right now, I’m in a good place in my career and I’m grateful to God. Of course, I’m still seeking more challenging roles and more exciting projects. I’m still very far from who I want to be and where I want to go as an actor.”
So when will he be getting married, we asked. “At God’s appointed time! However, I am in a relationship at the moment. I like someone who loves God, is intelligent and is a really beautiful person inside. The List of my preferences is quite long,” he said.
