The Lagos State Commissioner of Agriculture, Oluwatoyin Suarau, says the state government has added two more sales point to the already designated centres where residents can get Lake Rice.
The government said the effort was geared towards increasing access to Lake Rice and ensure effective distribution of the rice across the state.
The commissioner said the two additional centres are Farmers Mart, Ajah; and Farm Service Centre, Temu-Epe.
According to the commissioner, the new outlets would complement the activities of other centres in ensuring that Lake Rice is available and accessible across the state.
Suarau said: ”Other already existing designated sale centres are the secretariat of the 57 local government and local council development areas of Lagos, Farm Service Centre Odogunyan-Ikorodu; Farmers Mart, Surulere; Agric Input Supply Authority, Ojo; Agricultural Development Authority, Oko-Oba, Agege; and Lagos Television Complex, Agidingbi-Ikeja.”
The commissioner however said the price of the rice has not changed, stressing that the state government will continue to maintain the price of the product.
