The Chairman of Young Progressive Party in Ebonyi State, Hon. Onyibe Stanley had during the weekend said that his party would floor other political parties and take over Government House, Abakaliki, in the upcoming Governorship election.
He disclosed this during an enlarged meeting of the party faithfuls cum the inauguration of the State executive members of the party in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.
He expressed avowed commitment of the party to deliver the State from bad leadership that surrounded it since the previous adminstration, which he said has given birth to communal war, killings and other social vices in many Communities in the State.
He revealed that the party would ensure massive employment and empowerment among youths and women to improve human capacity building and also embrace good leadership where every segments of life would be touched.
According to him, “Just like the name of the party, young progressive party, yes, we are coming to change the narrative, we are lacking behind, we lack good governance in leadership of Ebonyi State and Nigeria at large that is why we are seeing insecurity, run down environment, crisis. Nigeria needs quality leadership where every segments in life will be touched such as empowerment, women and youth inclusiveness in governance, gender equality. These are the agenda that YPP has that will make us to take over power in 2023”
He called on youths in Ebonyi State and the Country at large to massively register into the party and also obtain their PVC’s to change the narrative, adding that the party is ever ready to inject ideas that would solve the problem of the Country permanently and advocated that equity, fairness, transparency and justice should be maintained in the Country’s Democracy.
“YPP is a party for the youths, youths should come let’s change tyrants and wicked leadership, we are tired of bad leadership in the Country” he said
