The SDP candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial seat in the 2023 elections, Otunba (Engr.) Adewale Adenaike has said that the adoption of his candidacy by the *One Nation For Asiwaju Support Group*, which is one of the largest Tinubu Support groups in South Western Nigeria is not only a clear demonstration of the viability of his candidacy for the Ogun East senatorial seat, but it further brings him closer to the Red Chamber come 2023.
Otunba Adenaike made this declaration when he received Comrade Temitope and his members in his Ijebu country home shortly on arrival from his trip to the UK.
Otunba Adenaike said further that the adoption by a group that has thrown its full weight behind the candidacy of Jagaban is not taken lightly and it is accepted with every sense of responsibility. In his words “we view this adoption by this very important group with every sense of responsibility because we understand very clearly the implications for us at the polls. From all indications, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the flagbearer of his Party has a good chance of winning the 2023 presidential polls.”
In his remark, the leader of the One nation For Asiwaju Support Group said his group has reviewed the commitment of Otunba Adenaike to the growth and development of the Ogun East Senatorial District, his type of politics, whuch he describes as developmental and all inclusive and has come to the conclusion that, of all the candidates vying for the seat, the most progressive of them is Otunba Adenaike. “We are not a frivolous group or a group hungry for endorsement. In endorsing or adopting a candidate, we subject the candidate, his policies, politics and track record to thorough scrutiny before adopting him or her. We have seen that just like our presidential choice, which Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you have a track record of performance that gives us the confidence that you will do it again because you have done it before”
Otunba Adenaike while thanking the support group for the confidence they repose in him, pledged that he will do all that is needed to fulfill his promises to the people of the District. SDP is back to give REAL HOPE to the people, he added. He therefore called on other groups and individuals to toe the line of the One Nation For Asiwaju Support Group by supporting the only unblemished pair of hands in the Senatorial race.
