Maihanchi, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.
It was reported that a source in the lawmaker’s family who confirmed his death said his remains would be laid to rest according to Islamic rites later in the day.
